Basics

We all know that the tigers are endagered. But did you know that it's estimated that there's fewer than 4,000 tigers left in the wild, and around 1,660 in captivity?

No cat is bigger, with males topping 600 pounds . Three tiger subsecies have gone extinct since the 1930's. The Malayan (below) , along with four or five other subspecies, hang on in Asia.




There are a few problems that are happening un Russia due to tigers and their environnement being deprived. Here's a graph to illustrate the problem more clearly:
